Histeropeksija-Hysteropexy is surgical procedure resolving POP pathology with preservation of uterus. Hystero-Uterus, Pexio-Fixation. Through history there are aprox. 60 diferent types/modifications of hysteropexies all arround the world.

Aim and Methods:
15 years of patient clinical folow up in combined retrospective and prospective study. Investigating wich is the best and safest way to perform a hysteropexy. With detailed description of Nickols and Manchester surgical technique performed on KGA UKCS.
Results:
Burch Tanago and other ventero/ligamento fixation procedures with abdominal approach are most invasive.
Laparoscopic mesh sacrocolphysteropexy is moderatly invasive. But it is time consuming, more expensive and associated with few serious postoperative complications.(Prof Kopjar, Prof Di Renzo, Prof Lukanovic).
Gilliam-Bere procedure, Moskowitz, Mac Call culdoplasty, 11 ligamentopexies and some types of colpocleisis rest in history. (Prof Kovak,dr Radovic).
Conclusion – Histeropeksija-Hysteropexy:
Vaginal approach is of course minimally invasive, shortest, simple to perform, with best cost/benefit ratio and with lowest percent of intra/post-operative complications! (Prof Stark, Prof Kovak, Prof Bartoš).
Sacrospinal Hysteropexy and Manchester are the safest surgical POP procedures associated with uterus preservation. Hysteropexy is very smartly designed surgical procedure resolving POP pathology with preservation of uterus.
And therefore they are the most frequently performed surgical procedures on our clinic (KGA UKCS).
